Japan's ANA orders 10 Boeing jetliners

SEATTLE -- Japan's All Nippon Airways has ordered 10 Boeing jetliners.

Boeing said Monday that the order is for five 777s and five 767s, both the extended-range model. The deal is worth about $2 billion at list prices, but large customers such as ANA commonly negotiate steep discounts.

Marlin Dailey, Boeing Commercial Airplanes' vice president for sales, says the order shows ANA has confidence in Boeing products.

ANA is the launch customer for Boeing's new 787 jetliner, which made its first flight last week, more than two years behind schedule. ANA is to get its first 787 late next year.
