George Washington rolling in his grave

"Liberty is the basis, and whoever should dare to sap the foundation or overturn the structure (of the United States), under whatever specious pretexts he may attempt it, will merit the bittersweet execration, and the severest punishment which can be inflicted by his injured Country." - George Washington, 1783.

Eerily prophetic prose expressed by Washington, obviously anticipating a rapacious ideology like today's liberalism. I wonder how Washington would react to today's oppressive liberal taxation? And fines/possible jail time for Americans forced by the government to purchase health insurance? He went to war with England over such tyranny.

How will the trilogy of taxation - Obama, Pelosi, and Reid - finance Obama-care? 1. Five percent tax on Botox and other various 'nips and tucks.' Obama's amoral, America-bashing, Hollywood friends will be appalled. 2. Slash Medicare by $500 billion. Just what the doctor ordered (pun intended) for our already financially strapped senior citizens. 3. A leftist economy-killing favorite: Tax the evil rich. Ominous taxation for the job creators, ergo fewer jobs created. Obamanomics.

Latest CNN Poll (not exactly a conservative enclave) - 61 to 36 percent against Obamacare. The people have spoken.

Judging by Obama's plummeting poll numbers, the only people still enamored with his hopeless change are the same ideological sycophants who tune into MSNBC for their leftist folly. Where sophomoric hosts utter such patriotic pearls of wisdom like: "I get a thrill up my leg when I hear Obama speak." "Since when is calling al-Qaida a crime?" referring to Ft. Hood terrorist suspect Hassan calling al-Qaida overseas. And, "Obama went to the enemy camp to make his case," referring to Obama's speech at West Point. The bravest and brightest this country has to offer is referred to as the "enemy." Beyond repugnant. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you today's far left Democrat Party. Washington must be rolling in his grave.
