Need honest debate from alarmist media

Regarding the East Anglia ClimateGate scandal, what would have happened if the exposed e-mails had, instead of uncovering falsified climate data, been explicit, detailed e-mails from senior officials discussing intentionally trying to falsify facts on a major carcinogen?

What if a set of e-mails had exposed a financial scam the size of 100 Enrons, that had been engineered by a top administration official reporting to the president? Wouldn't this be headline news for months?

So why should it be any different with Climategate? We are talking trillions of dollars, which will undoubtedly equate to human lives being lost somewhere along the line, not to mention the incredible cost to the economy. Meanwhile, the data on which we based this supposed problem has either been "lost" or destroyed, and yet the mainstream media has a hundred times the coverage of the Tiger Woods scandal, rather than this, which will affect everyone, and for years to come.

Dr. William Gray, who has been called the world's most famous hurricane expert has said, "I am of the opinion that this is one of the greatest hoaxes ever perpetrated on the American people." Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT, professor of atmospheric science, has stated "Al Gore is wrong. There is no consensus on global warming." The frantic alarmism all over the media has, in Dr. Lindzen's own words, "nothing to do with science." At least this issue should be explored by the media and our politicians for open honest, civil debate, shouldn't it?
