Striedl's 20 points lift Lake Forest past Lake Zurich
Mary Striedl scored 20 points and Claire DiMario added 13 to lead Lake Forest's girls basketball team to a 53-43 win over visiting Lake Zurich on Tuesday night.
Lake Forest improved to 8-2 overall and 2-1 in the North Suburban Lake Division.
Lake Zurich (5-5, 1-2) was led in scoring by Audrey Bauer with 14 points.
Zion-Benton 49, North Chicago 30: Juanita Robinson had 13 points and 3 steals for the Zee-Bees in the North Suburban crossover.
Zion-Benton (8-2) also got big games from Dominique Williams (10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) and Helena Rodriguez (10 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds). The Zee-Bees led 34-18 at halftime.
North Chicago's Nigeria Patrick scored a team-high 13 points.
