Health care bill is the change we need

History was made recently when health reform legislation was passed by the House. This was a very important step toward making the much-needed changes to the U.S. health care system. As the debate continues in the Senate on the details of this legislation, before the final bill is passed I wanted to express my support of this reform and my gratitude to all those working so hard to make these very important and necessary changes to the U.S. health care system.

For too long now the insurance companies have been running the show when it comes to our health care, and the time has come for that to stop. Every American is entitled to basic health care regardless of pre-existing conditions, sickness or gender. Insurance companies should not be in the business of making money.

Their job is protect those of us paying our hard-earned money when we require medical assistance, no matter how big or small. I truly hope that our health care attains the reform it so desperately requires.
