Special events at Dundee Twp. library

The children's department of the Dundee Township Public Library have some special events planned in December.

Through Tuesday, Dec. 22, the library's annual Mitten Tree will be up, decorated, and ready to receive donations of new infant, children's and adult mittens and outerwear accessories.

All items will be donated to the FISH Food Pantry and the Elgin Community Crisis Center. Drop off items at the children's information desk during regular library hours.

Children in kindergarten and older are invited to a holiday craft program, where they will create a decoration. The program will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the library and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the West Dundee Public Safety Center II, Route 72 and Sleepy Hollow Road.

Students in kindergarten and first grade require a parent or caregiver to be present. To register, call (847) 428-3661, ext. 310, or visit dundeelibrary.info.
