Shoppers can get swine flu vaccine at Cook Co. mall

Cook County health officials are taking swine flu vaccine to where the holiday shoppers are -- the mall.

Shoppers this Saturday at River Oaks Center in Calumet City will be able to get the vaccine.

Four hundred tickets will be handed out starting at 10 a.m. People with tickets then will be asked to return to receive a vaccination at a designated time before 3 p.m. the same day.

The clinic will be located in the lobby area of the mall's former movie theater.

The vaccine will go to anyone older than 6 months of age -- not just people in high-risk groups. That's because vaccine supplies in Illinois have improved. Nearly 2.6 million doses of swine flu vaccine have been shipped to the state.
