Ex-Lake Co. bus driver pleads not guilty to showing porn to students
A former school bus driver from Lake Villa Township pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges she showed lewd video clips to children on her bus.
April Jackson, 33, faces up to 30 days in jail if convicted of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Jackson, of the 21000 block of West 7th Street, was arrested Nov. 18 at the offices of her former employer, Durham Bus Services in Lake Villa.
Lake County Sheriff's police said Jackson had been showing sexually oriented animated video clips to children ranging in age from 7 to 11 on her route for Olive Martin Elementary School in Lake Villa.
Jackson told Associate Judge Brian Hughes she was unemployed, and Hughes appointed the Lake County Public Defender's office to represent her.
Jackson, who is free on $100, bond is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 21.
