Shots and three starters were missing for Christian Liberty's boys basketball team in its nonconference visit to Schaumburg Christian on Tuesday.

So was a win for the first time in four games as the Chargers fell 41-30.

Christian Liberty (3-1) shot just 26 percent from the field (13-for-50) as Luke Comerouski (out of town) and Joel Kathan (ankle) didn't play and Gabe Clayborne (bruised tailbone) saw limited action.

Mike Hennek scored 9 points to lead Christian Liberty and Nathan Elleson had 6 points and 12 rebounds.

Deerfield 70, Maine West 24: Wisconsin-bound Duje Dukan single-handedly outscored Maine West (3-3, 0-1) with 25 points to lead host Deerfield (5-1, 1-0) in the Central Suburban North opener.
