An easy way to fix America's economy

Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies squandering money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, do the following:

From the stimulus package take 40 million people over 50 in the work force, pay them $1 million each for early retirement to be used with the following stipulations:

1) They must retire. That's 40 million job openings - unemployment fix.

2) They must buy a new gas-efficient American car. That's 40 million cars ordered - auto industry fix.

3) They must either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - housing crisis fix. It can't get any easier than that!
