Small fire at Lake Zurich High

Lake Zurich High School was briefly evacuated this afternoon after a fire broke out in an industrial drier, Principal Kim Kolze said.

The school's sprinkler system put the fire out and, following clearance from the fire department, after-school activities were allowed to resume.

Kolze said the damage was very minor and isolated. The fire occurred at about 4:30 p.m.
