The skinny: After a wild three-game road trip, which features two disappointing losses in Las Vegas and a record-setting rally at No. 18 Clemson, the Illini return home to face a run-and-gun Broncos squad. Boise State features five double-figure scorers - led by 6-foot-9, 235-pound senior Ike Okoye (13.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 2.5 bpg) - and a defense that allows its opponents to shoot 47 percent from the field and 39 percent from the 3-point arc. This suggests that Illinois should keep up the momentum that led to 49 second-half points at Clemson. Freshmen guards Brandon Paul and D.J. Richardson are shooting a combined 45 percent on 3-pointers (25 of 56) while the rest of the Illini are at 27 percent (15 of 56).
