New Arlington Heights row houses include premium features
Whether you board the train or drive to work, Arlington Reserve offers a commuter-friendly location with quick access to I-90 and the Metra station.
The maintenance-free community by Lennar features 54 three-story row houses with brick and stone exteriors, private roads, walking paths and a community pond that lends a scenic touch.
Located one-quarter mile west of Arlington Heights Road on Algonquin Road, Arlington Reserve offers three designs with two to three bedrooms, two full and two half-baths, finished lower levels, balconies and attached two-car garages.
While Arlington Reserve's location has piqued buyers' interest, so has Lennar's "Everything's Included" concept, which includes - in the price of the home - features buyers want and need.
For example, row houses include premium features such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, master baths with dual sinks, European-height vanities and 9-foot ceilings on the lower and main levels.
"With over 2,000 square feet spread across three levels, these designs really live like single-family homes," said Leigh Nevers, director of sales for Lennar's Chicago division. "And by offering both a two- and three-bedroom plan, we're able to provide an ideal layout for everyone, from the single professional to the married couple with a growing family."
Two models are open for visitors to tour, including the Berkeley, priced from $374,990 with 2,027 square feet, three bedrooms, two full baths and two half baths.
This end unit model home features autumn colors and a contemporary interior with dark woods and lots of artwork.
The living-dining room shows a dark chocolate sofa and love seat topped with a menagerie of pillows, while an enclave is set up as a homework station with plenty of room for two computers. Burgundy draperies dress the windows. The dining table is set for six.
The island kitchen sparkles with stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets topped with granite and ceramic tile flooring. With a pass-through and serving bar, entertaining is easy for homeowners. A door leads to the outdoor balcony while the utility/laundry room and powder room sit off the kitchen.
The upper level houses all three bedrooms and a full hall bath.
The master bedroom is large enough to accommodate a king-size bed. The room has plenty of windows and natural light. The room also includes a huge free-standing mirror and walk-in closet. The private bath has two sinks with European-height vanity and a tub and shower combo decorated with a leaf-patterned shower curtain.
A hand-painted wall mural highlights the boy's room, which features a train motif, while a daybed furnishes a third bedroom where black and white photography is on display.
The finished lower level offers flexible space for buyers and makes an ideal office for those who work from home. This model shows a family room with plenty of seating, an entertainment center and a half bath with pedestal sink. This level also provides a storage area and accesses the garage.
The Devonhurst, priced from $314,990 with 2,025 square feet, features two bedrooms, two baths and two powder rooms. This model also shows a contemporary décor.
In the combination living and dining room, a champagne sofa and two chairs offer a quiet spot for conversation, while lots of pillows bring textures and patterns into the room. A floral arrangement tops a dark wood dining table that awaits guests with elegant place settings.
The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinetry topped with granite and a center island that doubles as a breakfast bar. A pub table for two overlooks the balcony. The utility/laundry room and powder room sit off the kitchen.
The upper level features two master suites, ideal for overnight guests or live-in relatives. In the primary suite, a champagne spread covers a bed topped with striped and animal-print pillows. The room also includes a lounge chair and walk-in and wardrobe closets. The bath has two sinks with European-height vanities, tub and separate walk-in shower with clear glass door.
The secondary suite, decorated in a horse-racing theme with framed memorabilia, is done in fall colors and has a striped wall behind the bed. A desk with display shelves on either side provides space for paying bills and surfing the net. The private bath features a sink and tub-shower combination.
On the finished lower level, four chairs circle an ottoman while a geometric design on a whole wall adds whimsy. This level also provides a powder room, storage area and garage access.
