Charity food drive, bake sale

The Doubletree Hotel in Arlington Heights is partnering with the John Hersey High School Service Over Self Club for a charity food drive and bake sale.

Nonperishable food donations are being collected throughout the community and can also be brought to the bake sale, which takes place 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the Doubletree, 75 W. Algonquin Road.

Admission is free, with proceeds from the bake sale and food to benefit CEDA and go toward holiday baskets for those in need.
