Auger strong leader for county board
I encourage my friends and neighbors to learn more about Maggie Auger, who is running for the open Kane County Board seat for District 23 in the Republican primary.
Look at her Web site at auger2010.org and you will learn quickly why I'm genuinely excited about Maggie's candidacy. The 23rd District includes portions of Algonquin, Carpentersville, Sleepy Hollow, West Dundee and unincorporated Dundee Township.
Auger, who currently serves as the chairperson for the village of Algonquin's Planning and Zoning Commission, has more than 17 years of public service.
In addition to her 10 years as Planning and Zoning Commission chairperson, she served two years on Algonquin's Plan Commission, the last year as its chairperson. From 1992 to 1997, Auger served on Algonquin's Economic Development Commission, the last two years as chairperson. An important distinction for Auger, and further justification for her election, is she is a recognized leader.
Professionally, Auger is a successful attorney, practicing transactional law, specializing in real estate, wills and trusts. Given Kane County's financial challenges, Auger will bring a legal perspective and experience of representing clients in important financial decisions to the Kane County Board to zealously protect the interests and needs of the taxpayers.
