350 take part in Barrington Area CROP walk

Over 350 walkers participated in the 27th anniversary Barrington Area CROP Hunger Walk on beautiful October Sunday.

Leading the throng of walkers were Grand Marshal Mary Anderson and bagpiper Terry Oldfield.

Twenty-five percent of all the funds raised in the Barrington area will be kept for the Barrington Giving Day, Barrington Meals With Wheels, Wauconda-Island Lake Food Pantry, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, the People in Need program of the Barrington Area Ministerial Association, St. Anne's Project Hope and the FISH food Pantry, Carpentersville. The rest of the money raised is used by Church World Service for disaster relief and hunger-related programs in the U.S. and around the world.
