Wheeling celebrates new boulevard's opening

The Wheeling Park District will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, to celebrate the opening of the Community Boulevard extension.

The new boulevard allows access from Dundee Road east to the renovated entry plaza at the Community Recreation Center at 333 W. Dundee Road. The road extension gives drivers two ways to enter Heritage Park - Northgate Parkway and Community Boulevard.

The public is invited to the event and refreshments will be served. Parking is available at the Wheeling Village Hall at 2 Community Boulevard.
