Cook Co. property taxes due Tuesday

Cook County property owners must pay their second-installment tax bills by the end of the day Tuesday.

Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas reminds local homeowners they can pay the bill online or check that it has already been paid at www.cookcountytreasurer.com. Bills can also be paid at any Chase Bank outlet.

Those contesting the amount of the bill or checking to make sure any exemptions were applied, however, are advised to call the office of Cook County Assessor James Houlihan at (312) 443-7550.
