Saturday's Lake County roundup

Libertyville's girls basketball team continued its strong play Saturday.

Savannah Trees scored 21 points, as the Wildcats defeated Regina 66-38 at Buffalo Grove to improve to 4-2.

Libertyville also received double-digit points from Alex Haley (14) and Olivia Wilcox (11). Nicole Kruckman added 8 points.

Lake Forest 53, N. Chicago 23: At Deerfield, the Scouts won the tournament with a 5-0 record.

Lake Forest (6-0 overall) was led by Christine Menzies with 13 points and Mary Striedl with 12.

Grant 40, Zion-Benton 37: At Deerfield, the Bulldogs wrapped up the tournament with a win, as Donnie Taggart scored 12 points. Kassie Stimpson and Heather Chapman had 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Providence 60, Antioch 51: At Geneva, Andi Potkonjak recorded 23 points and 3 steals, as the Sequoits finished 1-3 in the tournament.

Allie Anttila had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Lindsey Gofron chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Nicole Kelly grabbed 10 rebounds for Antioch, which trailed 25-3 after one quarter.

Potkonjak and Anttila earned spots on the all-tournament team.

Marshall 50, Warren 39: At New Trier, Marquiiesha Coleman had 20 points for the Lady Commandos.

Warren received 10 points from Amanda Barger and nine from Alexis Leneau, while Morgan Garrettt had 9 rebounds and 5 points.
