Prospect High School Winter Concert is Dec. 6

Prospect High School's Music Department will feature its annual Winter Concert on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. in the school's field house, featuring the school's award-winning bands, orchestra, and choirs. Some of the highlights on the program are the following: the Symphony Orchestra's performance of "Christmas Waltz;" Madrigal Singers singing "We Three Kings;" Varsity Choir's rendition of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You;" Concert Choir's "Baby It's Cold Outside;" Treble Choir's "Grown-Up Christmas List;" Honors Choir's "Hatikva" (traditional Hebrew melody; Concert Band's "White Christmas;" Symphonic Band's "Sleigh Ride;" and the grand finale "Holiday Sing Along," featuring the bands, choirs, and orchestra, as well as the audience.

The band program is under the direction of Chris Barnum, the choir program is directed by Jennifer Troiano and Steve Collela, and the orchestra program is under the direction of Patrick O'Connor.

The Prospect High School Music Department was named a Signature School Finalist by the Grammy Foundation for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. The public is invited to attend this admission-free, quality concert, featuring high school musical talent at its finest.
