Peoria man charged in 2 stabbings

PEORIA -- Peoria County authorities say they have arrested a man they believe was involved in the stabbings of two men in West Peoria.

Officers say 24-year-old Daniel Sonnemaker was arrested at his Peoria home early Friday morning. He was being held late Friday at the Peoria County Jail on charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon.

Detective Mark Greskoviak of the Peoria County Sheriff's Department says police believe Sonnemaker was implicated in the stabbing of two men from Washington in the parking lot of a West Peoria tavern.
