Tuesday's Lake County roundup

Grayslake Central's girls basketball team started the season with a loss, but the Rams have been cruising ever since then.

Grayslake Central blew out host Marian Central 74-33 Tuesday night to complete a 3-0 showing in the tournament.

Skyler Jessop had 16 points and 5 steals, and Rebekah Llorens added 11 points and 12 rebounds. Kat Dickson chipped in 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals and was named the tournament MVP.

Grayslake Central (3-1) also got 10 points from Alex Scarbro. For the tourney, the Rams outscored their three opponents by an average margin of 37 points per game.

Besides Dickson, Jessop and Llorens were also named to the all-tournament team.

Maine South 36, Libertyville 35: In a Buffalo Grove tournament game at Maine South, Becca Hoffman's basket with 14 second left lifted the Hawks.

Hoffman finished with 13 points.

Libertyville (2-2) received 10 points from Olivia Wilcox and nine from Alex Haley.

Oswego 73, Antioch 66: At Geneva, Andi Potkonjak had 26 points, including four 3-pointers, 6 assists and 3 steals for the Sequoits (0-2).

Lindsey Gofron added 11 points for Antioch, while Allie Anttila finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Nicole Kelly grabbed 8 rebounds.
