Baker Tilly agrees to merger

OAK BROOK - Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP has announced a merger with Beers + Cutler, effective Dec. 1.

Baker Tilly has locations in Oak Brook and Chicago.

Beers + Cutler, based in the Washington, D.C., region, will serve as the firm's East Coast hub as Baker Tilly continues to move toward its national expansion.

The combination of the two firms will result in a $250 million company with more than 1,400 employees, making it the 13th largest accounting and consulting firm in the United States.
