Round Lake edges G-K

Round Lake's girls basketball team made it two wins in as many nights at the Harvard Thanksgiving tournament on Friday night.

Behind 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, from Kenzie Phillips, the Panthers edged Genoa-Kingston 38-34.

Lauren Siems and Krystal Pitts added 7 points and a 3-pointer apiece for Round Lake (2-0), which plays twice today. The Panthers face Rockford East at noon and Crystal Lake Central at 3 p.m.

Grayslake Central 69, Richmond-Burton 29: At Marian Central, the Rams cruised for the second night in a row.

Skyler Jessop scored 16 points and Alex Scarbro added 12 for Grayslake Central (2-1, 2-0), which led 28-2 after one quarter.

The Rams conclude the tournament Tuesday with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff against host Marian Central.
