New on DVD: 'Gone with the Wind'

"Gone with the Wind: 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition"

One of the greatest movies of all time, "Gone with the Wind" has never looked or sounded better. Even if you have bought a version in the past, this one is worth adding to your collection.

The love story - set in the South against the backdrop of the Civil War - has stood the test of time, and this five-disc set is one for the ages. Besides the film, you get hours of documentaries, featurettes, historical materials, trailers and a 20-page reproduction of the original and complete 1939 souvenir program. You will also get a 40-page production history book, eight art prints and a CD soundtrack sampler featuring eight tracks.

One of the bonus discs includes three documentaries: "Movieola: The Scarlett O'Hara Wars," a 1980 TV special; "Gone with the Wind: The Legend Lives On," exploring the legacy of the film; and "1939: Hollywood's Greatest Year" narrated by Kenneth Branagh.

"The Three Stooges Collection, Vol. 7 1952-1954"

After all these years, the Three Stooges are still popular. Their shorts play all over the world, and this collection includes 22 that have been remastered. The time frame covered here bridged a difficult time for the Stooges. Curly died in 1952 and Shemp in 1955.

"Spooks" and "Pardon My Backfire" will be presented in their original 3D format with a pair of 3D glasses included. Other shorts are: "Shot in the Frontier," "Cuckoo on a Choo Choo," "Goof on the Roof," "Gents in a Jam," "Income Tax Sappy" "Corny Cassanovas" and many more.

"The Sopranos: The Complete Series"

Fans of this groundbreaking TV series would eagerly await new episodes during its run on HBO. It was the cable station's most successful series and featured great writing and an outstanding cast.

The series revolved around New Jersey mafia boss Tony Soprano and his two families: the men who worked for him and his wife and kids. The violence reminded many of "The Godfather," but there were also moments of levity and humor. The 30-disc set includes all six seasons and bonus features.

"Michael Jackson Mega Box"

For those who want to know more about the life of entertainer Michael Jackson, this four-disc set is for you. Included are 10 hours of footage featuring interviews, press conferences, store signings and many other moments. The bonus materials include a 32-page booklet, two postcards and a tribute discography which includes the Staples Center memorial.
