Scouting report What could be the missing piece to a Montini state championship puzzle returns. Oh, what an addition it is. Johnson, a 6-foot-3 Connecticut commit, is healthy after surgery on a torn ACL last January. "She's a kid down low that can finish at a high rate, which we lacked," Nichols said, "and an inside presence defensively." Johnson rounds out a lineup with few weaknesses. Jet-quick junior Holloway, a Notre Dame recruit, returns for her third year at the helm of the attack. Illinois State signee Seberger and Sosnovich both can light it up from the perimeter. Marquette recruit Thomas and Adams are both athletic wings, and with underclassmen Brown and Thompson make up four of Montini's six 6-footers. The Broncos will be tested by a rugged nonconference slate that features Class 3A contenders Peoria Richwoods and T.F. North in December, and defending 4A champion Bolingbrook at the McDonald's Shootout in January. "I want our kids to be challenged," Nichols said. "Our measure is how well we do in the postseason."
