They're gone Forward Amber Larsen was an honorable mention all-conference choice.

Starting five Junior guard Mary Doupis was the Eagles' leading scorer a season ago. She moves to the shooting guard spot, with sophomore Katie Brinser having been promoted to play the point. "Mary's a slasher and scorer," said Schneider, who takes over a program that has 2 wins in four seasons and has its third head coach. "She's a good shooter and can get to the basket." Junior forward Ashley Parmly showed good work habits and improved play over the summer, and has earned a starting spot. Senior guard Jennifer Totten played for Antioch last season.

Off the bench If seniors Christine Osuma and Jenna Schellinger don't start, they figure to at least play a lot. Osuma played last season, as did Allie Laubenstein, Kristina Umlauf, Felicia Fisher, Asja Triplett, Katie Mulloy and Chantayla Bloomfield. Schneider is encouraged at the number of girls who came back out, despite the team's struggles last season.

Schneider says "It's no secret that there's a lot of work to do. But the kids' attitudes have been positive. They're working hard, and we'll see what we can do."
