Roskam might have time to study bill
So U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam didn't vote the way Robert Kepka wanted him to on the health insurance bill, despite Robert's several written requests to the Congressman.
I know this may come as somewhat of a shock to you, but you are not the only one Mr. Roskam must consider when is making his vote. And if you follow the news, you would know that the majority of the American people, not just those in the 6th District of Illinois, are against this bill.
I am in Congressman Roskam's district too, and he voted exactly the way I wanted him to vote. I can almost guarantee that you didn't read the entire bill ... heck, at almost 2,000 pages, I doubt any of the Congressman had the time, either.
Just because Congressman Roskam didn't vote for this iteration - which by all accounts will not solve the problem and add literally trillions to the already huge deficit - doesn't mean the Congressman isn't a supporter of health care reform.
Maybe, just maybe, he would prefer a bill that actually addresses the problem in the most cost-efficient manner. Maybe he would like time to, I don't know, actually read the bill, before trying to ram it through without thoughtful consideration just so Nancy Pelosi can gloat.
I know that if any commentator or citizen disagrees with any of the proposals and their accompanying spin from David Axelrod, Rahm Emmanuel and President Obama, that you are duty bound to try to discredit those who do disagree by calling them right-wing nuts or some other clever name. But you really should think this thing through the whole way before commenting on it.
