Bill would make government bigger

In response to Peter Lambert's U.S./Canada health care opinion of Nov. 4, I would like to say to him how happy I am that he came to the U.S. when he was 4 years of age (41 years ago). Hopefully, he became a citizen during that time. I am sure that Canadian health care has changed in 41 years, as well. Otherwise, why would so many Canadians opt to come to the U.S. for treatments and surgery.

Being a 5th generation American, I would not choose to live anywhere else. I have always paid for my own health care and have done just fine. But what I worry about now, in my later years, is what Obama would do to change my country.

The U.S. Government is the largest employer in this country. How many thousand more employees would it take to administrate a government-run health care system? I had thought that Obama had promised to cut the growth of government. If he has his way, we will all be working for the government.
