Elgin
• Josimar Estrada, 23, of the 0-99 block of North Liberty Street, Elgin, and Wendy Sanchez, 23, of the 700 block of Hastings Street, Elgin, were arrested and charged with felony unlawful use of debit card Tuesday morning after going to the police station, 151 Douglas Ave., for questioning, police said. Their bonds were set at 10 percent of $3,000 and they are due in court on Dec. 1, authorities said.
• Someone used a BB gun to shoot out the rear driver's side door on a 2004 Hyundai Sonata in the 100 block of North Porter Street between 5 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday, reports said.
• Someone stole a radar detector after breaking the passenger window on a car in the 500 block of Dundee Avenue between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, reports said.
• Donovan J. Wainscott, 19, of the 500 block of Highland Avenue, Elgin, was arrested and charged with battery at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, reports said. He is accused of punching and biting a staff member of a youth home and is due in court Dec. 11, authorities said.
Carpentersville
• Gary L. Davis, 41, of the 500 block of West Van Buren Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with felony forgery at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Randall and Miller roads, police said. Davis is accused of passing a counterfeit $50 bill at a nearby coffee shop and running when police were called. His bond was sent at 10 percent of $10,000 and he is due in court on Dec. 1, authorities said.
Kane County
• Nelson D. Blalark Jr., 38, of the 400 block of Park Street, Elgin, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Monday and charged with attempted obstruction of justice after providing a false identity to police in a traffic stop at McLean Boulevard and Lillian Street in unincorporated Elgin, police said.
• Two men were arrested and one was cited in a routine traffic stop at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday at Randall Road and Royal Boulevard near Elgin. Police said driver Uriah A. Helland, 27, of the 6N600 block of Tucker Avenue, St. Charles, was issued a citation for loud exhaust. Passenger Javier Rosas, 27, of the 3100 block of Fullerton Avenue, Chicago, was arrested on a warrant for a parole violation, according to a report. Also arrested was passenger Gene J. Ettner, 46, of the 37W800 block of Binnie Road, West Dundee, who was charged with possession of cannabis.
• About 50 CDs in a soft carrying case and a brown checkbook were reported stolen Oct. 30 from a vehicle on the 5N500 block of Route 25 in unincorporated St. Charles Township, according to a police report.
