Dinner and a show at Warren Twp. High

Audience members will have dinner and be part of the show at Warren Township High School as theater students present "Romantic Fools," a revue of eight two-character sketches examining love from the dating scene to the long-term relationship and finally the nuptials.

"The audience will be in the actor's world," said Sarah Brandt, director, who wanted to try something different this year.

The "comic vaudeville" by Rich Orloff demonstrates influences of Monty Python, Saturday Night Live, the Marx Brothers and classic vaudeville comedy with sketches varying widely in style, but all celebrating the inherent farce of male-female relationships.

Just 100 tickets will be sold for the performances on Nov. 19-21, with audience members seated on the stage around a boxing ring of sorts in the auditorium at the O'Plaine Campus, 500 N. O'Plaine Road in Gurnee.

Tickets will only be sold in advance and they are $15 for adults, $12 for students and senior citizens, and $10 for children under age 10.

Salutos will be catering the dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The performance begins at 7:15 p.m. Also, students in the production will be making desserts for sale as a fundraiser for a new light system.

To reserve tickets, call Brandt at (847) 599-4661 or send her an e-mail request sbrandt@wths.net.

Cast members are freshmen Tyler Cruz, Hannah Goettsch, and Josh Pride; sophomores Nicolette Brick, Magda Cychowski, Connor Enselein, Stephen Londo and Molly Triveline; juniors Austin Fortner, Dylan Kroll, Greg McDonald and Kayla Zenner; and seniors Emma Rodbro and Elyse Weinberg.
