Fence Post writer has me all wrong

Let a writer dare suggest that the mainstream media is no longer liberal, but in fact has a conservative bent, and angry rebuttals are sure to follow.

That is the case with Nov. 2 rebuttal letter from Jeff Grady who responds to my Oct. 15 letter in which I made the point that the press is not liberal but in fact has a conservative bent. I also pointed out that Fox News is openly biased and has the largest viewing audience; almost 80 to 90 percent of talk radio hosts are conservatives and that about 80 percent of all newspapers support Republican candidates and policies.

I do want to congratulate Mr. Grady, though, because he did spell my name correctly. Unfortunately, that was the only thing he did have right - no pun intended - in his letter. Grady suggests that I will only be happy when no media outlets challenge my views or the administration's policies. This is so absurd as to be laughable.

Grady's characterization of my comments are so completely wrong, that I can only conclude that his letter was a deliberate effort to distort what I had written. Am I surprised. Not really, because it is what I have come to expect.
