"Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Live"
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was established 25 years ago in Cleveland to educate visitors, fans and scholars from all over the world about the history and significance of this musical genre. To celebrate the anniversary, there is a great nine-disc collection of 125 performances by some of the most influential and significant figures in rock history.
Besides the performances, there are speeches, toasts and roasts as rock artists salute each others' accomplishments. There is more than nine hours of bonus material, including backstage and rehearsal footage. It's awesome to see Paul McCartney inducting John Lennon, Paul Simon inducting Stevie Wonder, Elton John inducting The Beach Boys and a total of 52 speeches. You'll also see performances by Aerosmith, Chuck Berry, Bon Jovi, Johnny Cash, Tina Turner, The Who, Aretha Franklin. Billy Joel, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney, Jerry Lee Lewis, U2 and many more.
"Abba in Japan"
Fans of the group have waited for this special to be released on DVD. With the success of "Mamma Mia" on theater stages throughout the world, as well as the energetic film with Meryl Streep, Abba's music is as popular as ever.
The two-disc set follows the group's adventures in Japan in 1978 and 1980. The 1978 TV special is seen in its complete form for the first time, and we get to follow the group in a documentary of its 1980 concert tour of Japan. Some of the songs featured are "Take a Chance on Me," "SOS," "Dancing Queen," "The Name of the Game," "Fernando," "Waterloo," "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and "If it Wasn't For The Nights."
