Theatre Nebula stages classic Moss Hart comedy

Theatre Nebula, the 2009 winner of the Illinois Theatre Association Excellence in Community Theatre Award, presents a holiday favorite, "The Man Who Came to Dinner," at Cutting Hall, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine.

The comedy by Moss Hart and George Kaufman is the tale of a Midwestern family totally upended by the arrival of the famous Sheridan Whiteside, theatre critic, lecturer, and radio personality, who comes for dinner and stays for six weeks, recovering from a broken hip.

The production is directed by Thomas J. Akouris of Arlington Heights and designed and produced by J. Spencer Greene of Palatine. Costume Coordinator Colleen Flick of Chicago and Props Coordinator Shawn P. Ehrke of Palatine round out the staff.

Cast: Lori Rohr, Mary Campbell, Rachel Rosellini, Patrick Pantelis, Bradley Davidow, all of Palatine; Debbie Dennison and Nancy Braus of Schaumburg; Kristen Foley and Chris Bibby of Hoffman Estates; Curt Renz, Jim Bruner, Peter Buckley and John Congram of Arlington Heights; Kevin Pollack of Buffalo Grove; Bruce Worthel of North Aurora; Brian Michael Delaney of Lake Zurich; Sarah Breidenbach of Mount Prospect; Julie Mitre of Chicago and Cheryl Rice of Elmhurst.

Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 and 3 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 15, 22, and 29.

Tickets: Adults $14 advance, $16 at the door; 55-up $10 advance, $12 door; children and students with valid ID, $8 advance, $10 door.
