High school security guard accused of seeking lewd photos fired

Accusations by authorities that a private security guard solicited lewd photographs from a female student have led to the loss of his job at Grayslake North High School.

Christopher Bosak remained in the Lake County jail Tuesday in lieu of a $150,000 bond. He's charged with child pornography, impersonating a police officer, battery and disorderly conduct.

Grayslake High School District 127 Superintendent Catherine Finger said Tuesday that Bosak has been removed from his security job. She said Bosak received the Grayslake North assignment from Per Mar Security Services.

Finger said Bosak, 25, of Salem, Wis., passed two background checks before he was sent to Grayslake North. She said the investigations were ordered by Per Mar and District 127.

"Addressing the needs and ensuring the welfare of our students is our first concern here in (District) 127," Finger said.

Finger said there has been a "stable and secure school environment" since Grayslake police were summoned to Grayslake North on Friday when a compact disc with lewd photographs of the 16-year-old girl were discovered on a public computer.

Lake County prosecutors said the teenager told investigators that Bosak claimed to be police officer and wanted naked images of her.

Authorities said Bosak admitted he had been driving the girl home from school and that she sent a racy photo to his cell phone. Bosak stored the image on the phone for a few days before deleting it, according to prosecutors.

Bosak also told cops he kissed the girl more than once, grabbed her necklace while she was wearing it at Grayslake North one day and touched her inappropriately.

If convicted, Bosak would face a maximum of 15 years behind bars. His next Lake County court date is set for Nov. 25.
