Objection filed in 9th Congressional race

A Skokie man filed an objection Monday to the candidacy of Susanne Atanus of Des Plaines, who is running as a Republican for the 9th Congressional District seat in the Feb. 2 primary. Atanus said she did not know her objector, Ira Kahn. She is facing fellow Republican candidate Joel Barry Pollak of Skokie. The Democratic candidate is incumbent U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Evanston. Green party candidates include Simon Ribeiro of Evanston and Morris Shanfield of Chicago.
