Memory screening offered

The Wheeling Pavilion Senior Center will offer free memory screening starting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 199 N. First St. Appointments are available every half-hour. Memory screenings are encouraged for anyone concerned about memory loss or experiencing warning signs of dementia, anyone whose family and friends have noticed changes in them or anyone who believes they're at risk because of a family history of Alzheimer's disease or a related illness. Warning signs include increased forgetfulness, trouble concentrating or recalling words or names in conversation or performing familiar tasks, forgetting where you are, repeating questions or statements, misplacing things more often, becoming lost when walking or driving in a familiar neighborhood or changes in mood, behavior, personality or desire to do things.
