Motorcyclist cited for going 112 mph on Route 59

A Naperville motorcyclist was charged with speeding after police said they nabbed him going 112 mph on Route 59.

Eric A. Miller, 20, of 1327 Modaff Road, was charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the posted limit, a Class A misdemeanor, according to Naperville police.

Police said Miller was driving his red 2004 Honda CBR1000 motorcycle south on Route 59 near 95th Street about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday. An officer clocked him going 112 mph in a 45-mph zone.

The officer stopped him at Route 59 and Rollingridge Road.

"The only thing he (Miller) asked is how fast was he going," Sgt. Lee Martin said.

Miller was released after paying the required $100 of his $1,000 bond. Martin said the maximum penalty for a Class A misdemeanor is 364 days in jail and fines.
