Canter center to hold weeks of wellness
LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, a provider of nonmedical support at no cost for people living with cancer, will host a series of programs titled "Six Weeks of Wellness." Fourth in the series is "Fighting Cancer Fatigue and Other Physical Side Effects" to be presented by Delnor Rehab Services' Dr. Lynn Mershon and Lindsey Ritter. The session will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. Call (630) 262-1111 to register.
Dr. Mershon and physical therapist Lindsay Ritter will explain how to combat the physical side effects of a result of a cancer diagnosis.
"Fighting Cancer Fatigue and Other Physical Side Effects" is part of a Six Weeks of Wellness program focusing on "Optimizing Health for Cancer Survivors." Upcoming presentations include: "Talking to Your Kids About Cancer" and "In The Family Part 2: A Genetics Panel Discussion." Attendees are welcome to attend any number of the presentations and are not obligated to be present for the entire series.
LivingWell Cancer Resource Center is the one place in the Fox Valley region where people living with cancer and their families and friends can go for information and support services that address the challenges of living with cancer free of charge to the participants.
