Health care needs more than Band-Aid

The United States has been the one country to truly open its arms, its pocket book, its doors and above all, its mind. We are at the turning point of all of our futures. This is not due to some new car that our failing auto industry is selling us. Or even some new technological breakthrough that allows us to do more with our cell phones. We are in a time that there will be decisions made and lives affected that we as a country and as a nation cannot turn a blind eye to any longer! Our economy is still in one of the worst states it has ever been in, and more importantly so are the vast majority of Americans. I myself am a proud business owner and I am the proverbial one man band. I myself have been without health insurance for more than two years now because of my pre-existing condition. I cannot receive adequate coverage. My condition? Severe allergies!

I am but a spec in the microcosm of this country. However, being around the medical industry for the better part of my life, I can tell you that the wasteful practices are in need of a good housecleaning.

We need to fix the truly broken health care system we have. Reform it!
