Man injured by gunshot in Carpentersville

A man in Carpentersville sustained a gunshot to the forearm Thursday night, according to officials.

The injury is not expected to be life-threatening.

The incident occurred at a Shell Gas Station at 1398 Kings Road about 8:20 p.m., according to Carpentersville fire Lt. Todd Middendorf.

Multiple shots were fired but only one struck the victim. He sustained an injury to the left forearm and was taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
