Cheap stuff: Holiday craft show, Arlington art show

Let the holidays begin

Get a head start on your holiday shopping as more than 250 crafters and vendors display a variety of wares at Elk Grove High School's 27th Annual Holiday Sampler Craft Show.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Elk Grove High School, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village. Baked goods and food concessions are available. $3. Kids under 12 are free. For information, call Connie at (630) 878-7627.

Artists on parade

The "Arlington Artists on Display" art exhibit features the original works of 49 artists who live, work or enhance the arts within the Arlington Heights community.

1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum and Heritage Gallery, 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights. Exhibit runs through Sunday, Nov. 22. A suggested donation of $2 is recommended. (847) 255-1225 or ahmuseum.org.

Lobster love

See "Everyone's Favorite Lobster," a sketch comedy program focusing on friendship and the arrival of "everyone's favorite lobster" in the small town of Andrew Jacksonville. When will the lobster arrive - and why is he everyone's favorite - are two questions that can only be answered at the theater.
