No injuries in Elmhurst semi rollover

A semitrailer truck rolled over on a ramp from eastbound Interstate 290 to Illinois Route 64 and U.S. Route 20 in Elmhurst Sunday evening, according to state police.

The incident occurred about 5:18 p.m., closing the ramp while the accident was cleared.

It has since reopened.

The driver of the truck, which was carrying beans, was cited for failure to reduce speed. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released, according to Sgt. Robert Satkiewicz.

Police have not released the name of the driver. No other vehicles were involved.
