Note individualism to celebrate diversity
Recently I read an article about a "diversity" expo at a venue in Aurora. The event was to feature more than 50 exhibitors representing minority and women owned businesses showcasing their "diverse" group of products and services. It was just a one paragraph report but it set me to ponder.
Many seem to spend so much time, talent and treasure jockeying for political advantage.
The country appears to be becoming more tribal with each generation. We are coming apart; not together. Multiculturalism and diversity are the new, and only two, commandments with politicians and judges the high priests. Lost in it all are the timeless moral teachings of the natural law.
Would it not be a better world if, when approached by your fellow man, your eyes first fell on the divine nature of his immortal soul rather than the transient colorations of his countenance?
Beyond the obvious physical differences of male and female there are profound emotional, psychological and spiritual differences that mark the masculine and the feminine; these are not "nurtured" differences. Would it not be a better world if we celebrated the complementarity of the sexes rather than crushing them under a competing legalized sameness? There are six billion people on this earth. Each with unique DNA and a custom made immortal soul. That is true diversity if only we had the eyes to see, the brains to understand and the hearts to accept.
