Not for profit insurance companies?
Why can't the insurance companies be not-for-profit when it comes to health insurance? This is the reason there is such a fight with a public option. It is my opinion that we should have a single payer system like they do in many other countries. We are all already paying for it one way or another.
In addition, why do the insurance companies have to deny coverage just when it's needed. There are many Americans who either have no insurance due to companies downsizing or, if they do, the insurance lacks proper coverage. My son's girlfriend has been paying a lot of money for health insurance and she can't use it because it doesn't cover anything. This should be unacceptable.
