Boy hit by car in Hanover Park

A boy was struck by a car in Hanover Park on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Little information was available about the accident or the boy's condition.

The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. in a residential neighborhood at Arlington and Catalina drives, Hanover Park firefighters said.

The boy was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. His condition was not known.

A police spokesman could not be reached for comment.
