Health reform in everyone's interest
Are we just a mass of different interest groups looking out for themselves? We didn't win WW II with that attitude. A victory there lifted most boats from the depths. We are one nation, let's act like it and work together for reform.
The current costs of health care are not sustainable and we all lose in the end without reform. Those who receive health care through their employers better hope to hold on to their health and employment until Medicare.
Even those currently with Medicare are in peril of losing their benefits because of rising costs.
What about those self-employed with pre-existing conditions that can't obtain health insurance? Well, they are one serious health issue away from bankruptcy.
Doing nothing now will continue our path down a slippery slope of less health care except for the wealthy and/or healthy.
We all stand to lose in the end without meaningful change to our health care system. So Congress and the White House, get it done.
