Scouting Burlington Central @ Harvard

Burlington Central (3-5 2-2) at Harvard (6-2, 3-1)

When: Today at 7 p.m. at Dan Horne Field

Last year: Harvard 42, Burlington Central 16

Last week: Hampshire 12, Burlington Central 9 OT; Harvard 47, North Boone 26

Outlook: Harvard is in the playoffs and playing for a higher seed. The young Rockets will try to pull the Big Northern-East road upset to use as a springboard for next season. "The word we've used this week more than anything else is respect," Central coach Aaron Wichman said. "Maybe things haven't gone the way we wanted them to this year, but beating a quality program like Harvard and ending the year with a win would gain some respect back in the program. It would give us something to build on for next year with all those juniors and sophomores we have." Burgeoning Central junior tailback Tre Llanes has rushed for at least 120 yards in all 4 conference games. Harvard senior running back Vince Gabrys has rushed for 1,255 yards and 19 touchdowns on 156 carries.
