Geneva man faces drug charges

Police found marijuana, LSD and narcotic mushrooms while executing a search warrant at a Geneva man's apartment, authorities said Thursday.

Austin T. Dwiggins, 18, of the 500 block of Anderson Boulevard, faces felony charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, as well as a misdemeanor cannabis possession charge, police said.

Dwiggins was arrested after Geneva police and officers from the Chicago Police Department Area 4 Project Safe Neighborhoods carried out a search warrant at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday.

Geneva Commander Julie Nash said undisclosed amounts of suspected cannabis, LSD, cash and narcotic mushrooms were among property seized in the raid. She declined to release more details, citing an ongoing investigation.

Dwiggins, who has a Nov. 4 court date in front of Judge James C. Hallock, was being held in the Kane County jail Thursday on $10,000 bond. He had no attorney listed.
