Dog attack
A St. Charles Township woman told police a golden retriever attacked her and her poodle Tuesday as they walked on Blackhawk Drive near Scott Avenue. Kane County sheriff's deputies responded at 5:15 p.m. to find the woman was bitten in the arm, hand and thigh; her poodle was being treated at a nearby veterinary clinic. According to a police report, the owner of the golden retriever said he was walking the dog when its leash became tangled around its leg, and the dog took off when he unhooked the leash to fix it. The woman was bitten trying to wrestle her poodle away from the retriever, police said.
